Assholes. People are assholes.

Everyone knows about the assholes in the world, and no I do not mean the litteral ones. I mean the people who are just rude and hateful for no good reason. I just got word that Alex Gasgarth from All Time Low got boo'ed of the stage last night in Southhampton in the UK. The poor guy lost his voice while on stage, and people threw a fit. There's nothing he could have done about it! Once your voice is gone, its gone for a little while. Alex even Tweeted just after the show apologizing. "So bummed about my voice tonight. Sucks to feel like you're helpless up there. Thank you all for singing so loudly. Xoxoxo".

The fans out there probably made poor Alex feel like shit. He probably already did, and then probably got a bit frightened when he opened his mouth to realize he had no voice. I am pretty sure that's a singer's worst nightmare. Everyone knows a singer's voice is important, and how shitty it feels to suddenly lose it, so why did people feel it was nessicary to "BOO" Alex off stage? Fucking dicks. Do people seriously not realize that rockstars, even if they do sometimes seem superhuman, are indeed only human?

Think about it. In the past year alone, I personally know of two people who have passed out on stage, and countless ones that said they went on stage feeling like death because they were sick. Think about that for a moment, when you're sick, what do you do? Most of the time, you try your hardest just to lay and sit around, and do nothing until you feel better. While, they can't do that. Unless they're like puking up blood, or are so woozy they can not stand up, they go on stage, and still have to somehow find the strength to give the fans all they've got.

I've never understood how they do it, honestly. Just last week, I saw a video of Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides pass out right on stage, from what I'm assuming was exhaustion. You can only get so comfortable on a tour bus, the bunks are smaller than a normal twin sized bed, and you only stop every now and then to actually sleep in a hotel.

People need to realize how much they scarfice for their music, and for their fans. They give up practically everything. Some of them, even give up their homes. Some fans need to actually step back and realize that, no matter how easy you think they have it, they don't. You have it easy, going to work ot school every day, then coming home to be with family, friends or just sit on the computer. They go all over the world, just to make people happy, and have to get back on a tour bus that is usually no bigger (and actually more cramped) then a trailer you'd find in a trailer park.

Everyone gets sick, even them. They're not robots, or a fictional character on TV, or a true 'God', they are human. They will get hurt, get sick, or just get flat out exhausted, and somethings will happen. People need to just accept that, and learn to support them even when they have to cut your show short, or even cancel it. They probably feel awful about it, and when they cancel a show, they generally honor it in some other way.

For anyone out there, that has witnessed a band having to cut a show off early due to illness or injury, remember that they probably don't want to. Remember that they often try to contiune playing even when they really can't. Hell, Andy Biersack tried to contiune playing a show with three broken ribs and then again with a broken nose. That's down right dangerous, but he tried.

They're dedicated. Married to the music. It is their lives, but sometimes natural things get in the way of life. Respect them for what they do, and what they try to do, don't try to make them feel worse than they probably already do.
